Dine at Tampa Bay Moe’s Southwest Grill^® Locations in April to Support Apple A Day Foundation

Twenty-Five Percent of In-Store Purchases Donated Every Wednesday in April 

Tampa, Fla. – (March 27, 2019) – Moe’s Southwest Grill welcomes Tampa Bay to its 24 locations across the bay area to support Apple A Day Foundation in the month of April.  

Beginning April 3, all Tampa Bay locations of the fast-casual southwestern restaurant will donate 25 percent of net in-store sales every Wednesday in April to Apple A Day Foundation. A locally-founded nonprofit organization, Apple A Day provides devices, such as tablets and smartphones, to children undergoing cancer treatment, at no cost to them or their families. Since launching the program in 2010, Apple A Day has presented 500+ iPads/devices to children fighting cancer and they need the community’s help to continue that mission.

“When cancer treatment prevents or hinders normal childhood experiences and interaction, technology can become a welcomed bridge,” explains Apple A Day Executive Director Phoebe Kushner. “This bridge also brings comfort, security, laughter, and a sense of normalcy in an otherwise scary and isolated battle.”

“The impact one small digital device can have to bring joy to a child going through cancer treatment is extraordinary,” said Tampa Bay Moe’s Southwest Grill franchise owner Guy Campbell. “With the help of our generous Tampa Bay community, we can make a real difference to improve the lives of local children fighting cancer through this partnership with Apple A Day.”
